Raven's Eye Inn

The rumors spoke of a small inn in the forest which adventurers can go to that is more than it seems. Along with being simple bar tenders and servers, they also are a band of mercenaries, scholars and adventurers all searching for something. Some say it's a ancient scroll with promises of power and knowledge lost for generations, others say it's a rare gem found in the deepest caves with the power to read minds.  Still others believe The Raven Eye Inn members are part of a death cult, and still others say they are a group of monsters, who play at being mortals. Whatever it is, whatever they are, one thing all the rumors agree on is it is not what it seems, THEY are not what they seem. They all seem normal for the most part, but there is something else to them, something in their eyes which betrays the kind smiles and generous natures....

You made your way down the darkened forest path in Gridania to what looked like a old, dreary building. There was no sign on the door, only a raven, which sat on the roof and cawed at you as you approached. After you got your courage up, you walked to the door and pushed it open. Directly in front of you stood a Duskwight Elezen woman behind a old oak counter which had papers neatly stacked on each side and a ledger in the middle of it. She had pale skin and dark pools for eyes with white hair which hung down to her shoulders. She looked at you momentarily, then went back to down to look at the ledger. To the left you see a darkened hallway with only the slightest flicker of candlelight at the end of the hallway from beneath a door way. There was something.... strange about that room, you swore you felt someone looking back at you, but wasn't sure.

To your right is a more well lit room with the sounds of whispers coming out of it.  You looked around and saw a bar at the far end with a Seeker of the Sun working behind it in usual barmaid garb as she served up drinks to the few patrons who sat at the bar. The hushed whispers stopped as the eyes of what looked like scholars, soldiers and mercenaries, pirates, vagabonds and others fell on you for a moment.

You look to your left and see a Miqo'te sitting at a table with a duskwight female and another Miqo'te flanking her. The Miqo'te in the middle is dressed in mage robes, the other a bow on her back and the duskwight was wearing heavy armor. She gave you a smile and a nod as a drink came to you.

“It's on the house. The mistress of the inn has also granted you one free night to rest your head.” the bar keep said and pointed to the table you just turned from. But when you turn to thank her, they are gone, the table empty.
